Course is 4 weeks — February 1 to February 28, 2017

Online 24/7 from any Internet-enabled device using the Moodle platform

At the conclusion of this course, participants in this online learning opportunity will:

  1. Know the signs and symptoms of adolescent alcohol and drug use
  2. Understand the disease concept for alcohol and how the family dynamics play out in schools
  3. Explain how alcohol affects the adolescent brain
  4. Research the statistical relationship between students alcohol and drug use and academic achievement
  5. Research and report on one evidence based program used as an intervention program to deal with student risk behavior
