These are just some of the new threats facing our students and communities. This presentation will cover some of the new drugs threat along with other alarming activities of this new generation and what can be done.
Jason Weber, Community Liaison Officer for the Town of Menasha Police Department and nationally recognized drug prevention speaker will be presenting. Jason initiated a coalition that developed a pharmaceutical abuse prevention toolkit called “Good Drugs Gone Bad.” He presented at seminars and distributed the toolkit to over 3,000 people in health care, law enforcement, and education fields in the Midwest and New England states. This program was one of nine that was highlighted at the 2011 SAMHSA Service to Science Academy.
Participants will:
- learn about the new drug trends facing our youth and communities, and
- learn best practices from other communities/schools in combating these threats.
