Even though we aren’t having in person training until further notice, you still can keep the focus of a positive school climate and strengthen school community by using RP and joining the new RP Connections! RP Connections is a support system for educators to use that will help keep RP alive and growing in their educational practice.
Who can become part of a robust RP community of practice or use the RP Connections? School teams, individual teachers, administrators, and all pupil services staff either already trained or deeply interested in Restorative Practices. Services are available to public and private schools.
Fill out the request for support and/or join our Community of Practice, click the Restorative Practices Connections Button.
You will receive a personal contact when you complete the request from one of the RP Connections Coordinators: Christine Kleiman or Carol Bahrke.
In this project you can request:
Join our community of practice on Restorative Practice.
A community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a concern, a set of problems, or a passion about a topic, and who deepen their knowledge and expertise in this area by interacting on an ongoing basis. The purpose of a CoP is to create, expand and exchange knowledge and develop individual capabilities. The CoP will meet every other month virtually during the contracted school day for an hour with Restorative Connections Coordinators Christine Kleiman and Carol Bahrke. Our first meeting is November 10, at 8:00 a.m. You can sign up by clicking on the RP Connections Button.
Coaching for application of practices and troubleshooting.
This coaching will help you brainstorm ideas for any issues that arise with Restorative Practices or walk you through one of the practices for more comfort and ability growth to apply to RP practice.
Readiness Coaching and resources for implementation.
If you and your team are thinking about full RP implementation but do not know where to start or how to successfully work toward full implementation, this coaching session will be packed with a readiness checklist and ideas for an implementation plan.
Resources to further a school’s RP practice.
This coaching requires already having been trained in RP and/or have staff trained. We can help with:
-
Keeping the fire of RP fresh and applied in your education practice.
-
Implementing RP Conferencing as part of your discipline program
-
Presenting an in-service on RP and needing some deeper ongoing knowledge and ideas. Or have us present virtually.
