Amy Tranel joins the Wisconsin Center for Resilient Schools with over 15 years of experience in the field of education. Over the years, Amy has had the pleasure of working as a school counselor, PBIS external coach, PBIS Technical Assistance Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Director of Student Services. She uses her knowledge of leadership and coaching to support teams to integrate social-emotional learning, trauma sensitive practices, and school based mental health services into already existing Multi-Level Systems of Support. Racial equity and social justice are at the center of her core educational beliefs. For this reason, Amy is passionate about using data, systems and practices to eliminate barriers, reduce predictable outcomes, and ensure all students have equitable access to educational and instructional opportunities.
Amy lives with her husband, 4 kids, and 2 dogs in Waunakee, WI. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loras College in Psychology, a Master’s degree from UW-Platteville in School Counseling, and is currently earning her doctorate in K-12 Administration from Edgewood College. She is thrilled to be a member of the WCRS team and initiating meaningful change in our schools, districts, state, and beyond.
