Future has spent the last two decades serving in the field of education as a behavioral specialist, behavior manager, special education teacher, program coordinator, and a variety of administrative roles. Her most recent was the Director of SEL and Community Outreach where she developed and implemented a systematic, district-wide equitable SEL education strategic plan and professional training program. Additionally Future created a professional learning curriculum for the school’s community partners.
Future received her Administration and Director of Instruction License from Concordia University, Master of Arts Multi-categorical Special Education from Governors State University, dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Psychology from East Stroudsburg University, and she is a Breathe For Change Wellness Champion, 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
When Future is not spending time with the WCRS team she is spending time in Lake Michigan’s western shore with her husband and their two children. Future enjoys running, practicing yoga, skiing, traveling, reading, and being the change she wants to see by educating others on equitable practices.
Future is passionate about all institutions embedding equity in all that they do especially when we are speaking of children’s social and emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.
